Day 3 - 9th May 2012

Today was suppose to be our Pearl Harbour tour - it was changed and organised for tomorrow in lieu of today's original booking! What did we do instead? In the morning we walked along Waikiki Beach and later walked to a ballroom dance venue at the Ala Wai Golf Club complex. We had an address as 2100 Date Street and after 4.5 kilometres found a condominium instead. After discovering that this was not a dance venue we quickly found a taxi and were dropped off at the complex - only 1.7 kilometres away from our hotel. We spend about two hours dancing and did all our normal freestyle routine and sequence dances mixed in with their routines. The dance floor was huge and that was only one half of the actual dance floor - see attached photograph. It is the biggest dance floor we have danced on. We watch the locals dance the West Coast Swing which really is a slow rhythm or a slow jive. Going back to our hotel we visited Dukes Bar, again, for drinks and dinner. We are planning an early night for a 0610 pick up tomorrow for our eagerly tour of USS Arizona and Pearl Harbour. We believe we have lost four kilos with our Burke and Wills walk however our Dukes Bar drinks and dinner cancelled out our well earned weight loss....well.....at least we believe we had not put on any more weight.
